LG G4 Preview and Giveaway Opportunity

I’ve had the exact same phone number since I turned 16 years old. I’m not one for change. In college, my phone was a flip made by LG. I loved it, and used T9 to text… remember T9?!  I never owned a blackberry and I waited to buy a smart phone until the iPhone was released under Verizon contracts. While many of you know I’ve been an iPhone user the past 4 years, when I was asked to test out an Android for the first time, I was kind of excited to see what the differences really were like. The phone I would be testing was the LG G4. Still using the same iPhone for the past 2.5 years, I was looking forward to the upgrade and latest mobile technology.

Monica I know loves her Android and you guys keep asking when my app will become available to Android users (something I have little control over awkwardly enough), so I knew there must be plenty of reasons to love these smart phones and was eager to see for myself. The G4 brags that it’s camera is better than the rest of the competition, something I agree with. The screen is also a nice size, large but not too big, and the design feels classy with a leather back, making an extra case unnecessary.

The back is slightly angled, making it feel nice to hold and put in your back pocket. I also really like how comfortable it is to type emails on just in your hand. I hate writing emails on my current small iPhone. I avoid it at all cost and then forget to respond to half of my emails I receive on it.

I have been using the camera quite a bit the last week and am very impressed with the picture quality. The operating system is going to take me a bit to get used to, but I do love how easily my Google account has been integrated. There is also a removable mini SD card slot that I love as a feature since I’m always needing new space on my phone but hesitant to delete anything! The charging cord is also a huge bonus as it’s the same size that I use for all my rechargeable cell batteries and Jawbone speaker.

The best feature though is the camera when you compare it to other phones. For a blogger, this is a big deal.

Here are a few snap shots from yesterday in the South End.

I went to the SOWA Open Market to meet up with a friend, to shop a little, eat some lunch and then watch Roomie’s little league team. We ate at The Dining Car and were happy with our decision since there were so many options to choose from! I ordered the Chicken and Goat cheese sandwich on French Bread. I could have gotten it as a salad but was in the mood for some good old fashioned gluten.

After, my friend Elizabeth picked up a gift at this cute Maine based wall art company called Fiber and Water, I later came back with Roomie and bought three to put above our bed, including the lobster one. How cute are these?

Roomie volunteer coaches a little league team in the South End with a couple of other guys. Their team unfortunately is called the Yankees (duh, we are all Red Sox fans) but this year they are really good so I guess it’s fitting. They have a few kids that hit at least a home run a game and are only 10-12 years old! I was super impressed with the camera’s ability to take such quick pictures. The batter drove the ball to the outfield for a double on this hit that I captured.

Afterwards, I came home to plant what I bought at Home Depot on Saturday. How gorgeous are these little superbells? Not sure what is more impressive, the detail in the photo or how they got a flower to be so yellow in the middle and pink on the outside?!

Now here’s your chance to win your own phone!

LG and T-Mobile are partnering to send out two trucks on a preview tour across the country for 3.5 weeks in order to give you guys a change to test out the phones before they hit stores. The trucks will be parked in areas of high foot traffic in each city, like parks, plazas and squares, and at night will be parked near music festivals or sporting events.

The truck will be in downtown Boston May 22nd and 23rd.

I’ll be stopping by on Friday after teaching at Barry’s Bootcamp! You can be one of the first to experience the phone before anyone else and also get a free selfie stick or other giveaway, and enter for a chance to win an LG G4 Exclusive Preview Edition. If you follow @G4Preview on Twitter you will get all the details. Don’t live near a stop? Preregister here and you will get notified when the phone is available in your area and be entered to win a free phone (valued around $600).  They will be giving away one every day through May 25th.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of LG. The opinions and text are all mine.
