IDAC Launches New Video Project on National Indigenous Peoples Day
The Indigenous Dental Association of Canada (IDAC) launched a new video project called Joyce’s Tooth Tales – A Journey of Courage and Wisdom to coincide with National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21.
The Royal College of Dentists Of Canada (RCDC) recently shared that this initiative is meant to demonstrate the importance of oral health within Indigenous communities, the traditional knowledge, and to highlight the contributions of Indigenous dental professionals.
The video series follows a young girl names Joyce as she lives through her own oral health journey of losing her first tooth to becoming a dental surgeon.
The videos are available on the IDAC Youtube channel and we encourage everyone to watch and recognize the importance of oral health in Indigenous communities.
